holytoastCurrently I have K2 poachers with the pivot 15 GW. Bought some new Roxa element 120 boots last year and 4th time I used them the tongue on the left boot came off clean when putting the boots on. Cant say im impressed with Roxa quality/fit considering the high price tag. The boots didnt actually clip in properly with the Grip walk soles - there wasnt enough clearance for the heel to clip in so i had to remove the gw soles and put on the normal pair they came with. Even though i went through the process of getting fitted by a professional who solely does bootfitting and has been doing so for over a decade, i feel like the boots don't fit well. Should i try and get a replacement tongue and keep skiing on them considering how little ive actually used them or should i go back to my old pair of boots that are just alright?
.nastyFWIW, we carried Roxa for a few years at the shop and had nothing but issues. Had a couple do what yours did and numerous where the shells cracked in various places. If they don't fit well, I'd just scrap em and go with something else, they probably won't do well for ya even if ya fix em.
holytoastLol such a shame, such an expensive boot, but yeah I feel ya. Def not worth it in the long run. Got them in Denver and was really sold on the idea coming from a “reputable” shop. Any ideas where i should go next for a boot? I’ve lived in boulder for years, I dont trust Epic mountain gear I think they do a crap job. Ive bought so many ski boots its bad.

.nastyIf ya can make it up to Breck I'm happy to help out here at Slope Style. Otherwise I always had good local service at eskimo in Highlands Ranch area. Evo could be an option but it's a toss up as they have high turnaround for employees from what I've heard.
animatorI’ve heard the same about Evo (fellow ski shop employee here). Nasty knows what’s up, I’d definitely make the trip to Breck!
FWIW I had a Roxa R3 last year and admittedly it didn’t fit my foot great, but the actual mechanics of the boots were meh at best. To me it felt a lot like a Full Tilt that was made with cheaper plastic. It was lighter and the plastics are different admittedly, but it just felt very brittle, like it would explode if I subjected it to too high of an impact. I’m gonna stick with my Full Tilts because they fit better and I know they’re solid.
