Is style gonna make a comeback or are comp jocks the future?

I’m in high school right now and every kid my age that skis does gnarly spins but they just tap their boot in tight clothes. I like the whole swing of baggy pants and “core” shit but there seems to be some sort of irony there. What do you guys think the future of skiing looks like?

it doesn’t really matter. it’s not my fav skiing to ski or watch but i’m really j curious what people think about the future of skiing.

I think skiing will probably be going down some kind of hill Snow or turf. Style will be cycling through a hodgepodge of threads. Poles will be dropped and picked up again. Multiple pairs of goggles at once????? My hope is real snow. Less gatekeeper mentally from everyone. Just higher levels of stoke.

Style hasn't gone anywhere, it's simply evolved into many more forms then seen before. There is also still plenty of homies thugged out in 5XL kits landing hands at their sides too don't worry.

Tbh “style” never went anywhere. There will always be “unstylish” comp jocks because a triple cork with a robot lock mute grab is what wins comps. But the amount of ridiculous video parts coming out at the moment proves that style hasn’t gone anywhere

Skiing's out. Shitposting in the metaverse will be in. Eager teens will watch the non ski gabber olympiad and will hotly debate the shitposting events. Honestly a lot of the sport has gotten far more stylish. Even the comp jocks can do a ridiculously stylish flat 5. Skiing is big enough where you can be into comps, filming, insta, just skiing.


Even if you hate seeing an 1800 or whatever, it's kind of hater vibes to disregard everything else in skiing. The "Why does every spin so much, nobody has style anymore, I wish nobody spun over a 720" argument has been getting rehashed since the 1080 ruined the sport.

OP everyone on this site probably contributes a whopping 5 views to andri videos, and 3 of those 5 are probably ironic. You're talking to a bunch of kids with zootspace posters in their room and young snow body pillows. I promise you these kids agree but it's just not worth bringing up because it doesn't matter. Go in my threads and see me post the exact same thing 7 years ago, it's never gonna end this argument will continue forever and T-hall will roll in his grave everytime someone spins over 540 and wins a comp. That's just the way it is man

Most of the comp jocks have mad style. Some of them have og style. Not everyone has the secret sauce tho. Not in comps, not in film scene.
