Why Kale Cimperman leave Vishnu??

Why did Kale Cimperman leave Vishnu? He was an og of the brand and he still makes content for rcfs and other stuff, why did he leave? Do you think that he might regret it now because Vishnu blew up this season?

He and I had a personal falling-out as some friends do, particularly in their early 20's. In addition, at the time he was more interested in being a pro river guide and no longer interested in running a ski company.

He still owns part of the brand and is still skiing so all's well that ends well.

I met Kale at MHSSC years ago. I remember he was a total rail rat and split his knee open that summer.

Had no idea he still owns part of Vishnu. Looks like he rides line mostly.

why not just leave it at that you guys had a falling out. not very fair to say what kale was or wasn't interested in, you can only speak for yourself. there are always two sides to a story.

i agree it's leveled out fine because kale still loves skiing just as much as ever and is finding new ways to do it.

if it's your brand now why have you not bought him out of it?

slightly off topic, i saw the name Kale and thought damn that is one hippie-ass name. but i looked it up and it's totally its own name, he almost certainly wasn't named after the vegetable. hope this helps

Yeah like Emmett said, we had a personal falling out, and I'll leave it at that. I didn't really want to leave the brand at the time, but that's how it went. Filming for Harvest the last season that I was around was a lot of fun. That said, leaving Vishnu opened the door for me to pursue a lot of other cool shit outside of skiing.

I'm definitely still homies with the OG team, I love those guys and I'm so stoked on what they have been able to do with the brand. Also, I'm really happy to see the platform Vishnu has offered for a lot of sick skiers who are doing it the right way- like the labor dudes.

I do still own a small part of the company, but unfortunately it's more of a tax burden than anything- I haven't seen a dime.

But yeah, I'm hyped that Will invited me to be a part of RCFS, the project has me way stoked on skiing again. Also really thankful that Line has been helping me stay on fresh skis these days! Things have a weird way of working out sometimes.

imagine a bunch of fan boys on an Internet forum making a thread about stuff that’s personal to you and an ex friend. I’d just feel a little weird, lack of respect if you ask me especially if it’s a “higher up” in the game.

Business is particularly challenging with friends that existed before the business. It can be easier to meet people in the context of business and become friends, however pre existing friendships going into business lead to a degree of complication. Sometimes homies don't think the same when it comes to the details, the structures, the systems, whatever. It's hard and can feel really gnarly when you know that this stuff can be costing time / money / energy / opportunity. So props to the vishnu guys, for getting it off the ground, good luck with growth in the future, and I hope you can sell to K2 so that tax burden becomes something worth while. Or sell to the private equity kids who just bought 4FRNT.

Also worth noting heart attach comment guy and aint no tellin guy should have a game of slush. I put down $35 on a set of Vishnu skis for the winner. Who else is down to support? Vishnu guy please offer us wholesale pricing so we can make this happen.
