animatorI’ve seen some kids think it’s a cool like “trendy thing” to have NS stickers on their helmets or whatever but have 0 idea what it means when you ask them lol
r00kieYup. They know the ig page and think its the same as DrinkButter.
KRAMPUSNTROLLZAs an avid newschooler in the 2000s is NS still big among the up-and-coming skiers?

Mr.WhatsittoyaI'm probably the only kid in my entire highschool to have newschoolers. They need to advertise to the younger generation and get them on the site more. Like all my friends follow them on Instagram but they don't know anything about the site. They are mainly snowboarders too so they wouldn't really fit in haha
r00kieI mean our top rated member is a snowboarder.
ReturnToMonkeyI feel like a lot of people I know younger than me hardly have any idea what forums are. .
ReturnToMonkeyI remember first finding out what forums were in middle school, circa 2012. Didn't find out about NS for a few more years and still didn't start using it until 2018. I feel like a lot of people I know younger than me hardly have any idea what forums are. It's a totally different form of social media from what most people are used to. Miss me with that "it's not social media" BS because it is. But it's so different and foreign I bet most people are too lazy/intimidated to learn a new type of social media that is, frankly, more work than Insta/Twitter/etc, despite it being more rewarding in my opinion. I bet this format has a large part to do with the lack of younger users, regardless of the advertising and perception of Newschoolers.
That being said, there are still a fair number of kids on here who can't even drive and such, which is a good thing! But yes I feel relatively young or possibly of average age amongst active NSers.
MichiganCatFartI have always found forums much easier to use than mainstream social media, and I'm a kid. It just makes more sense in my simple head.
Jemsdoes anyone else get clowned by their friends for being on ns?
Nickc88There's quite a few of us college students currently at the U that use the platform, but yeah none of the high schoolers are aware of NS existence as a forum. NS could bring in a lot of money if they simply had a wider selection of merch.
skiiiiitIm 15 and use NS a decent amount but none of my buddies that ski have a clue about it

vibe.crudoIf they can have Taylor Lundquist, Jossi Wells, and Tanner Hall on the Bombhole podcast, then we can have snowboarders on Newschoolers tbh
isaacwronga lil part of me will die when ns gets deleted ngl

zulisNS should make TikTok account.
r00kieI don't want to admit that TikTok is pretty much a necessity for brands right now. I hate it so so much.
WoFlowzTHANK YOU I felt like the highschool NS deserved more recognition

QuaggyI clown my friends for not being on ns
asparagusI'm in highschool and can totally understand why newschoolers isn't popular among other kids my age. It's confusing at first, isn't addictive (in the short-term, I'm very addicted in the long-term), people will shit on you if you act dumb and it's not a clout-generating machine like instagram and tiktok.
