Tall bros what’s your backcountry jacket?

I’m about 6’3-6’4 and finding a jacket blows. I got a picture organic welcome jacket in an XL which I was pumped about but it’s so short. I can see my full zipper on my bibs I wear.

I got some saga stuff but looking for that techy lightweight jacket that is still long.

I found a strafe nomad in an XL, does anyone know how long these run? Or a Volcom L goretex jacket is another option

I'm 6'2" and all torso my dakine 3l in 2xl is past my ass. Previous I had a black crows 3l in xl and it was also nice and long but not quite as long as the dakin jacket

Full thing past your ass? Like I guess picture organic is more snowboard stuff, so it had some butt flap that went deep but the rest didn’t

Yeah the full cut all the way around. I just tried it on, the bottom of the front stops right under my sack lol

You may have to size up to get length you want, which sucks if you're thin. I haven't found an xl that has long enough arms but my ape index is pretty high.

Fr besides saga and bloom nothing is long enough, I’ve heard good things about trews length tho

Saga Monarch is the Saga tech stuff. I’ve had great luck with my Monarchs. It’s super long too. If your looking for some @McRae_Williams is selling a ton.

I'm 6'4" and not at all fat, and the Bloorm xxl anorak is the best fitting top i've found after a lot of looking. People always claim Saga and Norrona run long, but they don't. Bloom is better for tall guys than North Face, Saga, Norrona, or Flylow. But the Bloom anorak is an anorak and is not tech, so I don't know what to tell you. If you don't mind really wide but also long, North Face xxl is about the same length.

Dope I did like how the monarch fit, I tried one on but didn’t like the color much

I have a Houdini 'D Jacket' and I love it. It's a shell and it's pretty long. I'm 5'10 and got it in XL and it fits around my lower to mid thigh area. I'm not super tall but I thought I would still throw it out there as a suggestion.

I don't own one so can't comment on quality but Im pretty sure NWT3K make their jackets a little longer but they can be abit pricey for smthn that I think is only a shell

I'm 6'8, just got the 4xl HH anorak last year that thing is killer for any day on the hill goes down past my nuts and for backcountry I'd suggest an armada jacket there the only ones that I find fit decent enough for backcountry. Also bib snow pants where a game changer for me in the backcountry

Norrona makes some tall fitting gore-tex pro shells. The Lofoten Anorak if you can deal with a pullover. Or the Tamok for a more traditional jacket. I think their sleeves are a little longer than they should be though.

I have the Trew Capow jacket and it’s been pretty good so far. It’s got huge pockets and has skin pockets. No powder skirt but it does sinch at the waist. Also the waterproofing is bomber

honestly I've taken to layering t shirt, waterproof virtika vest and then a big hoodie for winter days. If it's really cold I have an insulated jacket, but I prefer the way hoodies feel and Utah isn't super moist usually so I'm good.

I am 6'3" and my 686 fits amazingly i got the xxl tg so its longer which sounds like what you want. It is fairly thick which does make it slightly heavier. Not sure if they offer it in a shell.
