Not a fan of Biden but the Trump followers are ultra shot. They would have hated anyone because their god lost the election. I mean, fake election, fake news, fake president or whatever.

Oh yes, Robert De Niro and Sarah Silverman speak for anyone liberal leaning and are the basis of my entire viewpoint. Weren't you offended or trying to grill me in the other thread because I mentioned how a lot of the "My freedoms types" supported bush etc. I get it, you don't align with him. That wasn't such a jump because I was talking about the whole and dude was pretty popular and got elected president. 2 celebrities. I'll just say no dude. Also Trump sucked, but the last thing I want to hear is a celebrity bitch about him in a speech. I have some free time, but I can find something better to do with it.
Trump became a weird culty figure to so many people. Even my parents who hated him at the start. Somehow who ever your party aligns with, everyone falls in line. And I'm not talking shit about republicans, this goes both ways. I had people yelling at me that a vote for 3rd party was a vote for trump and shit. Idk, fuck all that.
Personally I'd rather they take the party affiliation off the ballot. Wouldn't help in presidential elections because once theirs the main 2, it is what it is. But it's fucking crazy that people vote 100% rep or dem in local elections. Sure there are some difference, but in local stuff the party affiliation matters sooo much less. It matters about what the person is going to do in the town. What are the issues, what is there plan? But somehow people still go full with their "side".
I hate the two party system and the insane polarization we're seeing these days. Both sides suck hard a bunch of the time. I'm friends with people on both sides, I've supported people and issues on both sides though I lean more left. It sucks that it's less about issues and about as nuanced as fucking football games these days. My team is awesome, your team sucks! Oh Come on ref, call that shit. Saw Hilary hanging from a tree in effigy when I was in rural NY last year. Not that I was a fan of Hilary in any way but nothing like a good old hanging to get your political views across. Same regions where you see and hear some blatantly racist shit. Hilary was garbage, but again that was weird.
Idk, I get that people get psyched up for dumb things. People have been killed and permanently disabled over football games, but trump life is some weird shit. I don't honestly understand why people feel so attached and connected to a guy that really doesn't relate at all to them. I guess if you say the right things and are "an outsider" or whatever, the people will pour in.
