QuaggyHey OP, I was in the exact same situation my freshman year of college... Vishnus beat to shit, poor as a joke... But what I did have was some West System G-Flex Epoxy, an ACE Hardware within walking distance, and patience.
(Could utilize this website for all materials: https://www.tognar.com/edge-repair-ski-snowboard-steel/ though I recommend Irwin Quick Grips for clamps (or similar style), but perhaps: https://www.snowboardmaterials.com/index.php/materials/edges for your edges, they're imported from Germany and Austria, fancy!)
I had countless edge cracks so I replaced ~18 inches by cutting the broken edge with aviation snips, then cutting ~0.5cm (yeah, we're mixing imperial and metric units) into the width of the base, and then down the length to the other cut in the edge. I then peeled away the base material allowing me to pop the edge out. I had to cut a little bit of the base/wood down with a razor blade to allow the replacement edge to sit flush with the rest of the base but also deep enough into the width of the ski so the replacement edge is flush with the length of the ski.
I don't have pictures of the process but I did this in my dorm room with hand tools I had lying around or could borrow from the front desk. No need for power tools, it's a labor of love.

My tips and tails were delaminating as well because well... I'm rough on 'em, so I slapped some West System G-Flex Epoxy on them and they're solid as a rock. Who needs built-in metal tip/tail protectors when you've got West System G-Flex Epox:

LippamaniLast year my front binding was broken so I told my self after teaching I would go home. Well I forgot and went off the 40 footer I remember watching my ski falling underneath me, somehow landed a 180 and didn't get hurt but my skiis were already drilled through to many times so I was stuck with rc4s the rest of season.

jnorrmanfixing the skis is one thing, they’re v’s they’ll be fine, but a torn acl or mcl is different

dietcoke.manI'm a poor college kid and I can't afford new skis. I've got 3 year old vishnus with zero edge underfoot left, mad delamination, and I think the core inside the tail snapped (but the topsheet/base kinda holds it in place so it's okay I think??).

Anyway, does anyone have experience replacing an entire edge underfoot?
I know I could probably just epoxy literally the entire edge all along the ski like some people do (I've seen pics of ur V's Ryan lmao) but if that doesn't last this season I'm completely screwed.

Also, would it be wise to glue/epoxy some sort of metal bracket or wood to the ski where it snapped as a brace/splint so they don't come apart when I ride them?

I'm not too concerned about safety or anything (the pivot 18s mounted on them won't release even if I try no matter the din setting and both the metal toe-pieces are cracked and held back together with jb weld) and I can't really afford to be concerned with safety anyway so I'm literally open to doing anything as long as it holds my skis together.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. The struggle is very, very real.
