BigPurpleSkiSuitI'd honestly take those back to the shop and point out the issues.
WGalinskiAlready in contact with my boys back at the shop and they’re taking care of it. Just wanted to be a whistleblower for anyone who might also be getting screwed over.. Its tough learning that Armada (a company I trusted 100%) is selling products with quality control stickers on them that aren’t true to spec. Edges measured out to 1.9mm on the side and bottom and yet they were supposed to be a 2.5mm edge.
mystery3I'm wondering what differences there are with the ARW vs. ARV...is it possible the ARW has 1.9mm edges to lighten it up and/ or soften the flex a bit? I'm curious what the differences are between the two other than top sheets and lengths.
JLejArmada says the only difference is topsheet and offered lengths between ARW and ARV models but ski companies are so full of shit and dont understand their own products theyre selling.
armada's website says the ARV116 JJ flex pattern is about a 9 stiffness in the tip and 10 stiffness in the tail and 7 in the middle which already makes no sense since under the bindings is the stiffest part of a ski but the you look at the Declivity 82Ti which is a frontside carving ski with a full length titanal layer in the core and they say its a 4 stiffness in the tips and tails and 7 in the middle of the skis. They just plain make shit up for no reason and its not even believable. I wouldnt be surprised if the ARW has actual build differences to the ARV and just that nobody in the marketing or written materials department has any idea.
e.moneyfuck I wish I saw this thread 3 hours ago... literally just dropped my 96's off to get mounted and didn't inspect them. It's bullshit that I should even have to inspect them... wtf. Been a long time Armada customer and now I'm a little nervous
dolanslebensraumI cant be a fan of armadas after my pair i skiied on last yr. the bases are unbelievably slow.
i think the selling point of armadas are that they are durable skis. Maybe more so than on3ps. Idk, but i see alot more ppl posting about on3p blowouts than armada blowouts.
the tips of ops skis are fucking wack though. Like honestly thats pretty embarassing they didnt scrap those bitches.
mrk127I agree most of armada's bases are total dogshit. Sometimes they just come with a bad factory grind and they need a grind and some new structure and they are good, that's what happened with my 2021 whitewalkers.
