Been wanting this for years and just never made it because I'll post garbage photos but I'll make it and post garbage photos.
Can be epic, can be lame. Something from your day.

ogbeni means scholarly man and it’s what my grandpa who passed this summer was know as by his peers in africa. this is the license plate that was on his miata he gave to my dad.
KotterUmm that’s not what that word means….. it’s a pretty common word used in Nigeria. And even did mean scholarly man, what kind of pompous fucking asshole would put it on a license plate? Your family sounds wack af ngl
WoFlowzdawg my grandpa lived there for almost 10 years and i have two aunts born there. i think he woulda remembered the meaning. also maybe because it’s apart of their life and memories. why else would u get a custom plate?

KotterHe can live there a million years, it doesn’t change the fact that the word is pretty common and by no means unique to him. Sounds like a complete asshole to me and a little self-righteous to ride around town with a plate thinking it means “scholarly man” which I’m sorry to tell you that not what the word means. Grandpa and daddy are a bit of a liar there bud, and a bit full of themselves. Stay humble!
WoFlowzYou seem very upset. Is there a different meaning? what i’ve found online it’s a term for mister but usually people held with hi regard for their kindness or knowledge. If you‘re nigerian and know it differently please let me know. I’m sure my grandparents would love to continue to learn about a culture they hold dearly.

KotterIt’s just a word used to greet another man…nothing special and certainly nothing unique about it. Ur grandparents r just typical ignorant folks that went to Africa thinking they were gods gift to humanity and prob thought they were something special when they heard the word used. Your grandparents and dad are extremely naive and full of themselves to say the very least.
