I've been growing Russian Mammoth sunflowers for years now but decided to plant a bunch of different kinds this year. Birds and rabbits were not friendly to my seedlings so no idea what's gonna appear when they bloom.

Russian Mammoth that grew naturally in my garden from when I tossed the leftover heads last year. Fucker is probably 12' tall now. Their heads can be over a foot in diameter

Did some backpacking high in the Eastern Sierra this weekend. Managed to dodge the Yosemite fires for the most part. Caught 12 of these gorgeous little brookies and 2 larger rainbows on my 3 wt. I'm finally starting to feel more confident in my fly fishing.

Just returned from our first 8 day of the year. Ran down to Alijos Rocks for wahoo and yellowfin, spent a couple days NW of Mag Bay on the ridge for yellowtail, then fished along the coast on our way in. Stoked to finally start running these longer trips again
