Had to replace the junction box with one that can hold a fan. The attic has at least 1ft of blown in insulation and the drywall on the ceiling just crumbles if you do anything to it. The previous box was held on with rivets of all things- not fun to get off. The wires inside not only had cracked around their sheath but are both black lol so not too difficult to identify but fuck me why. Now I gotta patch the ceiling too before hanging this fan. So what shoulda been a quick fix is now taking me all day and a fucking mess.

Already got the pipe alleys, sonar compartment, lazarette, and forepeak looking spotless. Can’t wait til it’s all over so we can go fishing!
