Wells Lamont mittens

How warm are they? You can't buy these from anywhere on a regular basis in Finland so was thinking asking you guys before ordering the FT collabs, which my local supplier is getting a few pairs of.

Most of the days I rock Burton Dam mittens which are designed for spring weather. How much warmer are the WL's? Pondering between them & Armada Tremor mittens for colder days.

I also have a pair of Hestra mittens but they are WAY too warm for my hot & sweaty hands in any conditions.

I love my wells gloves, even though I only wear them ice fishing they keep my hands incredibly warm and dry. I just recommend using a water proofing product on them.

i have the level 1 wells lamont ones and theyre dope. its weird, like if your hands start off warm and you dont take them off your good but if you take them off they wont bring you hands back to warm. they were mitts but have finger things inside

I wore mine all year last season and was very happy. Didn’t get wet or cold once in mine, and my hands run pretty cold so I took it as a good sign. For the money I don’t think there’s a better option. You can pay 130 bucks for Hestras but really the difference isn’t great enough to justify the price IMO. Love mine I’ll probably scoop another pair this year

I have Wells Lamont, Hestra, and Oyuki. I always go for the Wells Lamont if they are dry.

I’ve been using wells since they started making ski gloves. I’ve had the white camo ones pictured below for 3 seasons and they’re still going strong. I put my mitts through absolute hell and they hold up so strong, I’ve never put any water proofing or anything else on them. IMO the best mitts money can buy!

Today I learned you can't use the angle brackets in your post. Anything after the bracket disappears.

Do they fit true to size? Anything else I need to concider before ordering?

Haven't had WL gloves, but I've had Flylows and Kincos, and the Kincos are several orders of magnitude better. They make the Flylows seem like fake toy gloves.

I kinda doubt anything can beat Kincos at the price they're at on Amazon.

not really related to this but lemme talk about how shit burton gloves are. There so expensive and are made of the thinest leather youl ever touch. The "insulation" is made out of plastic like a grocery bag and once the first layer of shit leather wears away (2 or 3 rope runs) it gets torn to shreds and all of a sudden your doing grabs with your pinky sticking out

I've had two pairs, both have held up good and enjoyed both. Never had an opportunity to ride a rope tow tho 🤷

I suppose you can call me a Burton fanboi tho. The slightly baggy / loose fit and laid back look they offer, combined to the quality of the materials and design, their outer layers are unmatched in the price point they're at. Most of my outer layer skiing clothes are Burton nowadays. Freeskiing is in life long debt towards them too.
