Anyone near Castle Mt. Alberta?

My buddy and I are coming up for the Skimo race from the 7th January to the 9th and we are looking for a place to crash for a few nights. Im going to race it and my buddy is going to volunteer and document the race.
Then after the weekend, we plan on checking out the area for a day or 2 to scope stuff out for a future trip. Ill be needing a guide to show me around.

lemme know; the experience is more fun meeting someone new on a road trip!

No one lives down there, especially not anyone on NS. There really is nothing down there.



I mean maybe, but any from NS who skis at castle is probably coming from coming down from Calgary on a pow day.

Look around Blairmore/Crowsnest Pass too- That's the closest place where a lot of people live.

There's a Hostel at the base of the mountain that's ~$30/night. It's pretty basic but there's a fire pit and sauna outside.

i have been working at castle for 5 years now. i live on mtn. unfortunately i wont be able to accommodate you but as mentioned above the hostel is a good option for 30$.
let me know when you will be here and we can do some laps i can show you around. hopefully i wont be coaching or working parkcrew when your here..
