Over the past year, I have been working on a small business called Alpenglow Ski Academy. It is 100% online ski coaching. My goal is to make ski coaching easily accessible and affordable. The prices are around $30-40/hour for a one-on-one lesson. This rate is way cheaper than most other options. For reference, the local gymnastics place near me charges $80-120/hour for private lessons. It works by sending videos of yourself trying a new trick. We will meet via video chat to breakdown what you are doing right/wrong and how you can fix it.
I know everyone on NS has their own opinions on whether coaching is needed in freeskiing and I feel that everyone can use some advice, especially when they are just learning. Offering a one-time drop in session at an affordable rate should help skiers avoid injury and progress when they are stuck on a new trick.
I would love all feedback, questions or/and opinions on why or why not you would consider using this. Any thoughts in general would be appreciated! Thanks!
