guys i need someone to tell me that killington is probably gonna be fine and open like 2nd-3rd week of november. multiple inches of rain in the forecast makes me not happy

The east is going to have a far better season than the west. Do your research; it’s looking good this year even if it gets a rainy start.

yeah but there isnt snowmaking weather in the forecast for the rest of the month and id be suprised if any of what they did survives. there a a lot of rain tomorrow and like 1.6 inches saturday

worst case scenario it’s delayed a few days or a week, considering how long they stay open that’s not a big delay

No? Have you looked yet? Far below for everywhere but the PNW and it’ll be wet as hell. East coast is supposed to be cold af with the dry stuff. East coast skiing is going to be comparatively better this year.

wet as hell WOW ever lived on the east coast we have rain, -35celcius ice and no snow stop acting like we have it better

I’ve spent seasons at Stowe, snow, snowbird, mammoth, big sky, Sunday River, Taos, steamboat, and bachelor and the east coast is by far the best. Idk what ur talking about but if u want to go “out west” to ski “the big mountains” ur more than welcome to take ur QST 99s and go.

I’m an east coaster, I’ve moved west, I will not be traveling East to ski. That said, I’ve been blessed ski the east, the lake effect snow has always seemed to follow me around NE but it just cannot compare to the mountains and divides of the west, nor compare in snow accumulations, quality of snow or length of season, terrain or scene, completely different vibes from the people, and the views…cmon
