Shredsauce > Steep > Rider's Republic

I hate to say it but looks like the skiing is better in steep than riders. Kinda just seems like the terrain in rider's is pretty lame compared to steep. and obviously shredsauce is the king.

I was hoping riders republic might be a bit more realistic, but it seems like it's not at all. It's main redeeming quality to me is that it has more grabs, which is nice, but other then that, it doesn't look great imo. Shredsauce is great tho

For me it’s all about the axis and variety of tricks. Shredsauce is king because of endless grabs and you control your own axis. Steep still beats riders republic because it has like 3 times as many axis you can hit.

at least in steep the dude actually skis clean... isnt keeping your hands infront like the first thing you learn on skis

If one of the Ubisoft games had a grab editor it would be an absolute game changer but I really don’t see that happening

Dude exactly. The Rider’s Republic turning style looks so bad. The character drops his inside hand so badly

In terms of a video game RR definitely looks better and more fun. From a skiing perspective steep will always be king tho, even though shredsauce has more variety and axis, I like the way steep visually looks and how it has a replay editor and stuff makes it more fun IMO

Ssx on tour has entered the chat. That game was fun as shit when I learned out to slow down spins trying to be all eric pollard like on the Elizabeths

Yeah yeah I was a steep veteran and die hard for a while, still have RR on pre order. I love a lot about the game, but the skiing in many ways, is indeed inferior to steep. The axis’s are really odd to control and landings feel janky, rails are fair too magnetic and you can’t butter, it doesn’t feel as free. It’s overall a worse skiing experience, however aside from that I’ve quite enjoyed it.

An overwhelming amount of steep players have expressed the same issues with RR.

Did anyone here ever play SNOW? It was released for PC a few years back and definitely had the most potential of any ski game I've played in terms of jump tricks and variety of terrain. They even added a few B&E invitational and X-games maps back in the day, which I'd dick around on for hours. Rails were incredibly janky though. Seems like the developers weren't able to continue supporting it, which is too bad bc it seemed to have a real freeskiing background. SNOW > Steep for me. But Shredsauce for rails any day

The control system for riders rubix cube is just absolutely fucked. Not being to have different schemes saved to the different sports really hurts the game because some of schemes work decently and some are total shit


They even changed how the "steep" controls work the skiier, could do just a regular spin without my dude flipping the fuck out to save my life

It looks like Steep really cared about the animations looking realistic to cater to people that actually ski etc.

Riders Republic looks like they are cashing in on the extreme sports version of Fortnite.

No joke, the game looks like shit and the graphics look like they are from the original X Box.

steep is way better than riders, the terrain in rr looks too cartoony kinda shit. steep looks so cool and all of the tricks look waaaay cleaner
