So I’ve got these sawhorse type things that were made for a bike storage. I’m using one so there would be two here
The ledge is about 3.5 maybe 4 feet tall. I’m in Bozeman MT so I get a shit ton of snow here. You thinking I’ll be good building a small ramp from the deck, to a small ramp to hit these wooden features? I was planning on sanding them a bit, and I got some cheap ass rock skis that I might just rip the edges out or at least really dull them out.
Woods not gonna slide that well at that slow of a speed even with dull/no edges on your skis. You might as well just get some pvc and built a proper rail with that wood.
Yeah that is true. Unfortunately it’s not my wood as I’m renting the place. Another idea I had was people give away broken skis with blown out edges. I could drill those to the top.

definitely see if you can get your hands on some PVC, it's far and away the easiest thing to make a backyard rail out of. idk how experienced a jibber you are but that's a tough little jib right there
also unless you're down to build it up with a lot of snow, that's not gonna give you much speed. if you're able to add to it a little that'd be much better. backyard setups always struggle with 1) not enough height on the drop-in and 2) not enough flat space between the drop-in and the lip
I do actually have these flat wood pieces that I could add. I’d say it would add a solid 3 feet to it from the top and they are pretty stable.

Also I wouldn’t say I’m experience much. I can hit stuff that pretty much require no jumping but it’s the heighten rails that I can’t get. Hopefully this would help with that
