Jeffery 110 vs Reckoner 112 vs Deathwish vs SFB

I’m going to be moving to Banff for a few month next winter and want something with a bit of a wider waist width. I’ve got Reckoner 102’s as my park ski/ daily driver. I’m 5’10” 170 pounds and want a fun ski that can handle itself when things get a little choppy.

Pros and Cons I’ve come up with so far

Jeffery 110
Pros:
Everyone who skis them loves them
Great durability
Awesome do everything ski
Cons:
Weight
Cost

Reckoner 112
Pros:
Lightweight
Flexy enough for butters, but stable
price
K2 Graphics fuck
Solid build quality
Great soft snow performance
Cons:
Maybe not stable enough?
Probably not the best for going fast.

Deathwish
Similar to Reckoner but probably better on hardpack. Only other con is that they are expensive

SFB
Pros:
Soft
Carving performance is interesting to me
Light as balls
easy to spin
Cons:
Too soft?
Too light?

Jeff would probably be the best in chop among those.

Is the deathwish pretty soft? I thought it was a pretty stiff ski.

Deathwish will be a touch stiffer in the front but a touch softer in the very end of the tail compared to the Reckoner 112, Blister has a good breakdown between the two.

Reckoner 112 184:
Tips: 6
Shovels: 6.5-7.5
In Front of Toe Piece: 8-10
Underfoot: 10
Behind the Heel Piece: 10-8.5
Tails: 8-6.5

Deathwish 112 184:
Tips: 6-7
Shovels: 7.5-8
In Front of Toe Piece: 9-10
Underfoot: 10
Behind the Heel Piece: 10-9
Tails: 7-6

It is decently stiff, but it isn't a damp ski compared to the Jeff. I have the previous version though. I think the current version is a little heavier and damper than the last version.

If cost matters to you, the Jeffs are significantly more expensive than the reckoners (also probably better made etc) but just another factor to toss out.

In terms of fitting in with the Reckoner 102 that you already have, the Jeffs will provide the most different riding experience since they are wider and stiffer and generally burlier than the 112s or 102 would be.
