I saw this image of a guy with a red bull helmet who wasn’t sponsored in another thread, had to see if for myself. To my surprise it was true, and it got my interest piqued.
So I wanna see it all, the posers, the newbies, the pretentious asshats.
let’s see the best (worst) Reddit and assorted jerry forums finds from you guys.
This is both an extremely reddit thing to do, but also lowkey pretty cool. You could make a really cool night edit if you experimented with LED skis and some creative camera work
armchair_skiercan i just write the din value i want instead of putting T Y P E T H R E E skier
I mean it’s just a shop liability thing that they don’t let you just tell them. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter because all it takes is a screwdriver and 30 seconds

For pivot heel piece I swear you need a chisel or a paint scraper to turn that massive flat head
skiP.E.I.The length of your boot is a big part of determining din value. The longer the boot is, the din goes lower. It's not just your weight and ability
It’s a whole lot easier to lie about your weight than your boot size though. The boots won’t fit in the binding if you have them set for a 265 BSL, they will if you tell them you’re 250lb.
Though tbh I normally just write the DIN I want and circle it. Sometimes they give it to me no questions asked, sometimes they make me add my initials to make it clear that I know what I’m asking for. Only rarely do they not adjust my din how I like it.
That said I’m not asking for much more than what the calculator gives me. If I were to ask for 14 they’d likely be less keen to humour me.
