if your looking for budget cameras just get an original gopro hero, or a red v-raptor they are the gopro hero is a little more expensive but looks way better.

It has its place. GoPro on a stick is the easiest thing to pass around, decent battery life and everyone knows how to use it. Also 20 years ago people were attaching cameras to their helmet with duct tape. If you do any filming in or around water it's basically a must have.
