Any good carving skis for instructor purposes?

Having trouble choosing amongst the hundreds of carving skis around, any good recommendations? I’m looking for a nice 1,75 pair to do my instructors exam with. Pls help NS’ers .

What about the Line blades? I didn't try them so maybe someone else can chip in, but if I were on the market for carving skis I'd definitely check those ones out

Been scoping those out for a while, I’m not sure if they allow them for taking tests here in Argentina, but the versatility and overall play-ness they have are absolutely awesome

It all depends on how well you can get a ski on edge and carve…that said get a Volkl Kendo…super versatile, will help with all the progressions you will need to demonstrate during your exam.

Only one I've really skied js the Blizzard Firevird HRC. Pretty popular amongst my fellow instructors for advanced coaching and racing beer league nights.

Head Supershape skis have been around forever so lots of deals out them on new or used. Most popular instructor skis out there.

Like them a lot, heard they can split around the back edges, anyone know if that happends a lot?

Totally in love with this for a really long time, packs a lot of high end technology for a really good price (sub $600 for a brand new pair), top 3 on my watchlist!

K2 Mindbenders, probably the 90Ti, fun ski, but should still handle instructor duties just find.

Never heard of that issue and probably user abuse(dropping them often on their tail maybe) rather than a manufacturing defect. Has a flat metal edge across the tail that you’d have to really try to damage.

I really liked them. The HRC is kind of the casual race ski. So it a not full on FIS spec and won't kill you if you take a lazier run which will be nice while instructing. Thing still loves to lay trenches though.

Hey that’s a great suggestion, haven’t look at k2 that much , this are really good, 450 with bindings is an amazing deal… plus k2 looks so dope

That’s what i like hearing, thanks for your review ;) . My idea is to use them as daily drives around the mountain and in between classes so is really good to know they can handle some chill laps and won’t feel extreme stiff

Yeah, they really like to be driven but don't need 110% all the time.
