The industry has slowed down to the point of banner ads and year long bans on NS. Full tilt is going away. Jiberish uses cheap sweatshirts and puts out garbage every year. It won't be long before NS collapses deeply into the parent company and youre all forced to use my chad alternative - newschoolerz.

What about the days of siver cartel? Thall in his prime? Poorboyz? Wallisch dick riding 24/7 on NS? Level 1? Joss?

We are living in the dystopian future of Skiing.

Why you guys all talking like it’s the end? Just cause things are changing doesn’t mean it’s over. Skiing is like everything else in life, it’ll go through fases and changes but if there’s still a group of people around who love it, I don’t really see it going away any time soon. Especially Newschoolers, I feel
like there’s been a lot of negativity on here lately about where the industry is going but as long as there’s a core group of people around who love skiing and the culture that goes with it, the site will still be here I think

The reason I go on this site is because I feel stoked about skiing. Not the other way around.

Mfs act like skiing has lost its edge when we have more grassroots stuff than ever before. Vishnu blew up from being a garage company to being wildly popular in only a few years. Jiberish and Saga are being "replaced" by Arsenic and Harlaut Apparel. Tall T is still going strong. New ski graphics every year still go insane. Hell, we're getting PRO MODEL PIVOTS. And it's not like nobody has the gangster style and steeze we used to have, we have rising stars like Simon Issac (Ez Pvnda) and Daniel Bacher and Sammy Keena and Sam Zahner who emulate that style.

I've seen a real fall from style ACTUALLY happen in the blading community. Y'all don't know how good you have it fr.

Last time I went skiing was at fucking mall of the Emirates bro. You are 100% on the ball correct. Soon our only option will be indoor refrigerated slopes.

Especially now that independent crews can put out absolutely banger ski movies with professional editing and 4k cameras. People take that for granted nowadays. Back in the day unless you were STEPT you would be lucky to even get a mid quality edit out for a few views on NS or Youtube.

Y’all acting like it’s the end. People like us keeping NS running and the best way to bring others to the site is by uploading content exclusively to here. Especially full videos or parts. Telling homies, organizing jams, local premieres etc can keep yo community alive, and those videos can keep NS alive with it. Support brands who support skiers you like and you wanna see more from. This culture shouldn’t die and I hope y’all won’t let it.

ikr. if you really are so upset at the state of skiing then go out there in 4XL and practice your afterbang and 2p2s. Or start a clothing brand or some shit to fill the void of "cool" softgoods. Literally all those brands and shit Chad mentooned were created WHEN skiing was "lame", by people wjo wanted to fix that.

As someone who lived thru the so called golden era let me say this- we are all presented with a choice here. You can become a bitter old head who thinks everything new and different is whack compared to when you first fell in love with skiing, OR you can appreciate it for what skiing has to offer you now and not bother to compare the two. Comparison is the thief of joy. I loved 4bi9 and Stept, I loved HG and love the bunch, I love Forre and Child Labor. It’s all the same shit just different people applying themselves to it and wearing different clothes. Same as with new music, you need to give it a few tries to truly appreciate what you’re experiencing. After that, you can feel like how I feel. The real golden era is now.
