What if I used 2 bindings?

if I were to put for example a attack toe with a pivot heel or vise versa would there be any real issues other then looking funky and maybe some weird release paterns? Idk why anyone would actually do this but It was a brain child of mine in physics class.

i think the stack height differences would make it so forward pressure calibration was fucked up

May work if the stack height can be made the same, but only then.

Honestly the physics of most bindings are similar enough these days where I don't see any problem with this as long as you thoroughly test them at a low din low speed to make sure they release right. Dont crank your din either. It would be a cool experiment. I take no responsibility for any damage or injury...

my dad told me they used to sell toes and heels separately, and that he used to ride look toes and marker heels for racing. keep in mind this was back when your average binding was about as reliable as duck tape though, and nothing was standardized to begin with so the differences didn't matter.

The problem you might have (especially using pivot heels) is that you will struggle to get the toes and heels in the right place to suit the adjustment range for getting forward pressure right, and getting your boot centre where you want it.

Also different stack heights between the different brands may cause issues as if the difference is too much, your boot won't interact with the contact points as they should, affecting your release.
Basically it's highly ill-advised.
If you do decide to go ahead (and you're friendly with a shop with the machine) you could get the release tested to satisfy yourself, but forget any idea of anybody else taking responsibility if you get hurt.

I have a mash up of 3 different bindings on my street skis and they work fine. Probably wouldn't use them on the hill though.

When I on World Cup Circuit we used to experiment with this. No advantage. Toes and heels are designed to work as a system together. When you change out one of the components, you are then changing the way the system is designed to work (and not for the better). Specifically, we tried Tyrolia and Solomon toes with Marker heels. Just a bunch of pre-releases when we didn't want them, so we would crank up the DIN so high to stay on that any advantage we where trying to achieve was lost.

When at the Tyrolia factory we discussed this with the techs and they were of the same opinion.
