It's kinda fun to see how far you went but at the same time it doesn't seem core.

my watch auto tracks skiign and then it uploads to strava, sorts fun to see how far and the vert. it auto stops on lifts which is nice

I do for touring. I carry a portable charger so battery isn’t an issue for me. Will sometimes track in-resort stuff if I’m doing a big day, it registers when you’re on a lift.

I use it for running and biking mainly.

Slopes is the best ski tracking app if you're into that sorta thing.

Skiing is all about having fun. If tracking vert and miles is fun for you, go for it.
