pinkcamo1000honestly I prefer the euro style lines, just pure chaos. crest at brighton comes pretty close
abar.I'm not a fan of the fast pass, but it's kinda bullshit that that dude think that Bachelor is somehow "more local" than any of the other mountains that are getting it, and therefore its not OK at Bachelor but is fine everyone where else. Even if he was right somehow, how would one measure that? Every one of these mountains have a substantial amount of people that would call themselves "locals," and since when do you have to be a "local" to not like people paying extra to skip the line?
Bottom line is if your mountain is run by a capitalist organization beholden to shareholders, they will do whatever turns them a profit, and they do not give a shit about how "local" you claim you are
BrandoComandoI'm honestly surprised to see Bachelor on that list. They're usually one of the more consumer-friendly mega-pass mountains in the west. They're fairly tight with the locals. If you piss off your community, you deserve to get called out for it.

r00kieThis won't go anywhere if you all think its now a legal issue with public lands. The defense will be the same as Alta with snowboards. The resort owns the lifts and manages who loads and who doesn't and sets prices for them, not the forest service. The government really doesn't have much regarding precendant here.

LonelyBoho has a fast pass. They get to go in a fast pass line that ideally has fewer people than the normie line. Boho makes more money, the jack ass dentists aren't choking up the line and scratching up my topsheets, and the people who buy it don't know where the good snow is anyways.
skeirmanWyden's clerk gonna get a talking to with that typo in the first sentence.
Zac.sureman. sad to see such an awesome mountain go that way.
DominatorJacquesWhat "typo"?
FruitBootProboho isn't a great analogue for places like killy imo because killy is a lot more structured whereas boho is more for midwest people who are actually seeking more advanced terrain and are willing to put up with the lack of big-resort-style technology cuz they gotta get their fix. I wouldn't assume it'll be a non-issue at resorts that are household names
LonelyBoho sells like 17k thousand season passes and has 10x less infrastructure than any household name resort. It is filled with skiers who think they are the most "hardcore" people on the planet who lose their fucking minds when it is suggested that one of the two lifts they have get fixed. Because then other people might ski their "sick neck deep pow"
If anything I would imagine it would be MORE of an issue at boho.
cyphers"PWRD" instead of "PWDR" i assume
PoikenzThey should charge way more than 50, suck the money out of them.

FruitBootProI'm not following this. In a large resort filled with rich tourists like these four Powdr ones, isn't there a guarantee that the fastpass lane is gonna be filled with these kinds of people? Whereas people who ski at boho obviously don't have so much money they can just fly themselves to a world-class resort whenever they want and subsequently pay $50 for a fastpass every day.
Basically what I mean is that since boho has more regular, "serious" skiers who probably are more in tune with progression and the culture, it shouldn't be as much of an issue. Idk
sarcSad to see such an awesome civilization go that way.

dmcdmcSorry you're so upset VIP experiences exist. Who cares if a few wealthier people cut in line if they pay for it? Happens all the time. No point being upset. None of us can stop it. Are you surprised? Skiing isn't some holy sanctuary of equality on Earth, it's a luxury sport for the richer to begin with. Life must be stressful for you.
Nvm. I'm just an irrational idiot :)
