I saw these baby’s come up at my local ski shop for like 150. I know they are old but man they are BOATS. 140 underfoot just sounds nuts. Should I pull the trig? Bases look mint also

What can I expect this ski to ski like? I don’t widest I’ve ridden is 115 so this is a huge step up

If you don't like them you can probably recoup your losses easily. What length are the skis? And what size boots do you wear? If you have a relatively common boot size and mount a binding like attacks that will give you one size bigger or smaller without a remount that would maximize your likelihood of a quick sale should you not enjoy them thoroughly.

I have only ever ridden the Donner Party's for 1 day, but god damn did I pick the day to do it.

Kirkwood, 20....18? Idk it all blends together now. It snowed so fucking much the night before that they shut off the pass from the Bay and it was only Reno folk at the mountain. Took them until 11:30 just to get everything checked off and open the first lift to the top, we got there at the crack of dawn. Sat in line and drank beers with everyone while we watched ski patrol come down the mountain over and over and over again with the biggest fuckin grin on their faces. Literally tits deep and as light as Tahoe pow can get and I had these beauties on my feet.

They were the surfiest, smoothest, cleanest turning deep snow skis I have ever been on and floating through untouched several feeeeeet deep pow was like a dream I only hope to capture again one day. It was the perfect ski for the perfect day.

WITH THAT SAID after the pow was all cut up and we had to ski aggressive chop and groomers they were absolutely terrifying, I've felt more confident blasting down KT-22 on snowblades during a snowstorm than I did on these things on groomers. But for $150 you should absolutely get them, even if you only ever use them once.

I once bought this ski almost ten years ago now while at a ski movie premiere at the moment factory for 150 bucks.

Never skiied it or mounted them, ended up selling them to a kid for 150 bucks who then coincidentally moved to Bozeman

Most definitely buy them. If you ski a decent amount of powder, you owe it to yourself to experiment with R/R type skis.

Lol, I knew it was second wind. Their collection is like the island of misfit skis, stuff that people thought they would love but probably found themselves using once or twice a season. Always have some ridiculously fat skis, or ultralight touring skis, some super beefy big mountain chargers, or telemark skis that have probably been on consignment multiple times, and every once in a while a pair of blades comes in and they are sold in like a day. Such a great shop.
