Kids,
I’m getting older 43 in a few days but need some new skis. Still hit park in the spring. Want some twins for all mountain fun. Can I go with 170’s?? I normally ride 180’s but getting older. Also ARV 96 good EC choice?

SessionWhy would you go shorter due to age?
SofaKingSickhappy birthday!
ARV96 would be a great choice for east coast do-it-all ski. at 6'9" dad, the 177 would actually probably be exactly your height (175cm), but you could totally do the 170 too if that's what you're feeling. go with your gut
SofaKingSickSorry I meant 5'9" not 6'9" (I had 69 inches in my head cause that's what 5'9" is).
Anyway, the having kendos for daily driver/demoing when skiing west and the 190 weight kinda cancel each other out in my mind here. Go 170 or 177 on your park ski, maybe even go ARV 86 for less width and fewer dollars if you don't need any soft snow consideration at all. Unless you want to lean into it and get a particularly soft park ski but honestly I doubt that's what a kendo-skiing dad wants, even if it's just part of the quiver
