snowfinderwouldn't a company that makes skis that last a long time, they don't make more then they can sell, they pair up with other companies in order to get the materials they need and most of those materials come from the same country they are located in be considered sustainable?

Jemsimagine trying to sell "all mountain" skis for $1000
hoodratz47Pretty sure companies do that .....
CatdickBojanglesDPS is about the only one I can think of that sells a stock ski over a grand.

NightFantasiesKastle, Volle, Stockli, Volkl... it's a euro thing and a market that just isn't represented here on NS.
Christian_Balethey are mad expensive, but I guess that's the price you have to pay for skis that are mostly produced in a sustainable way.

weastcoastYeah man sustainability matters so much to me as a customer!! I can’t believe my On3ps I bought when I was 15 killed a turtle in the ocean and a panda in the bamboo field oh my god 😲😲
CharlzHubSustainability should matter to you if you want your grandkids’ grandkids to be able to ski
weastcoastIt does matter. But skis have such a minute effect. I’ll keep buying my used skis for 150 bucks that get me through the season and then some.
theabortionatorBecause 1 ski isn't enough

safarisamWNDR Alpine fills the void for those of us that are more into touring, why not have a susatanible all mountain/park company? It makes sense.

winelipsSo 1000 skis is all about “sustainability”right? Well what makes them sustainable is what the are ski factory they are made in does (100% renewable energy, recycling excess plastics and wood, etc) and not necessarily something 1000 skis is doing specifically correct? Because in that case the same factory makes the RMU rippah, YLE and the apostle series at the same level of sustainability. So if you think you are paying extra for sustainability in 1000 skis, I’d consider looking at the $499 rmu rippah for a cheaper “sustainable” ski.
BigPurpleSkiSuitI have heard that the skis are eh, but they are also not really designed as inbounds skis.

$250 plus free shipping? How can this be legit?
TreegrabberNice skis but I’m a little hesitant to buy. My main worry is the slide ability, maybe if they came pre treated with fluoro universal temp wax id purchase
