Recently, NS did a giveaway for a pair of Line Blends. I think a few years ago I made a thread asking if people actually win those or if they just collect emails and then go quiet and never actually give anything away. Well, a few weeks ago, I got an email from a homie with a NS domain, and he told me that I won the Blend giveaway!
So, just to let you guys know, these giveaways are legit and they follow thru, i guess the winners just don't always share that they won.

Whatever you say dude, you clearly have never moderated an online forum open to anyone 13 or older. Whenever we see anything that breaks the rules, which includes everything you said, we deleted it and punish the member. We do not just perma ban people for first offenses, especially since they could just make a new account. You tell them this is against the rules and 9 times out of 10 they say theyre sorry and didnt know the rules, thats the lesson you teach.
This dude who made this thread is not running around saying slurs in every thread, he said it once (didnt even see it tbh it got deleted so fast) and the second was him mocking the system, not being hateful.
If you don't think the moderation of NS satisfactory I suggest you don't go on reddit, youtube, facebook/instagram, twitter, twitch or basically any other online social media platform, NS is currently the smallest and most relaxed the forums have ever been.
The 2 or 3 members who spew bullshit about politics, the occasional 13 year old calling someone a homophobic slur, or the first instance of doxxing on NS n many years (didnt even post anything he just threatened) is not equivalent to what you are saying about NS.
Lmao bruh you do a shitty job at moderating then write paragraphs trying to make yourself feel better about the lack of effort. I have actually moderated forums, given out perma bans, and understand the severity. You just lack the conviction to do it.

You just responded by saying nothing, if you don't like NS then stop using it, the system has been working for years and you're coming out of nowhere calling out a couple a very rare, but recent situations.
What do you think we should do here? Just permaban this kid and keep doing it every time he makes a new account? or talk to him, tell him what he did is breaking the rules and giving him a chance to return to the site without being hateful? You don't change behavior online with negative reinforcement, it doesn't work.
If you see something that you think is against the rules, pm a mod, we cant see everything and the only way we change behavior is by at least trying to deal with the issues on a personal level. If its a troll posting hateful shit we'd permaban them immediately but that's not the situation here.
Conceptually it isn’t that difficult. You see someone calling other people fags they get a 24 hr suspension with a warning that any further violations results in perma ban. That’s how I’ve done it as admin in previous forums and guess what? People fucking listen.

that's literally what we did dude like what else do you want? Sounds like you have some experience and you're frustrated about it. I understand but were such a small site and moderators are volunteers, we do what we can and you can't really put us up on this pedestal of morality because were just a tiny online forum.
If you ever see anything, like I said dont hesitate to pm a mod who is online, I'm on far less than ever and we don't tolerate people who break the rules.

Idk. The mods are pretty mellow these days but still on top of it. I feel the bans are usually pretty fitting. People freak out and call it censorship when a post gets deleted and they don't even get banned. Then the other side is mods don't do anything ns is a cesspool. Can't have it both ways.
If a person does sonething that they've been warned and banned about manny times they'll get banned for longer. When it's just a dumb post their first time we usually delete it and send them a message telling them why we deleted their post and to chill.
Usually most people do chill out after that. Also even for people who we don't necessarily like its the same thing. If people dont deserve a ban, or a long ban they dont get one.
