U got out of a parking ticket, dude that’s core!
just fuckin wit ya, here’s my few contributions, real stick it to the man in #3
i was in a street race once, cops were in rear view after some time, probably 1/4 mile + behind me and the guy I was racing, he slowed I stayed on it 😈 I got away and came back 15minutes later they were arresting the guy I was racing 😬 spent two weeks heart was like bada bing bada bada bada bing wondering if a can got my plate and they were coming for me 😢
when I was 16, got in an altercation, state and an individual brought charges of assault and terroristic threats ( I know, biff… terroristic threats…. Unbelievable right?!?) 😂 anyway since dad was a state probation director I was tried as an adult so I wouldn’t be under his department , two our DA hated my dad, so they tried coming at us hard, dad quit on the spot , mother fucked everyone in sight, we drug the case out for 2 years and I ended up on probation with no curfew and no restriction on leaving the state, had been lifting with the PO I was assigned for years…. So I never got drug tested etc…restitutions were $100 VS time in a youth home, and $4000 in damages to a vehicle , house and $75,000 in medical, so it went well.
Real stick it to the man. For years as an employee I manipulated unemployment with my employers, now I’m really versed in it, all my employees get the max allowable for the max amount of time, they “bank” hours and get cash, and enough wages to qualify for next years claim, some also receive welfare, all of them average around $100,000 a year before may state benefits, I also provide a “return to work” and “lack of work” letter so they don’t have to do a job search
Finally, maybe just as much a fuck u to the “man”, the city re assessed the value of a city building I own, went from 50,000 say to almost a million and it was my 3rd building, so to avoid taxes, we donated it to a conservatory, it’s ours tax free til I die, fuck u pgh!
HypeBeastWhat's the most outrageous or ingenious action you've taken when dealing with bureaucratic bullshit or to get out of a dumb fine? I fucking hate stupid fines.
-Long story short, Columbus uses apps for meters in certain areas of town. My wife like an moron changed the letters but somehow forgot to change the numbers on her plate in the app. She was out downtown and got a ticket, but she had paid the meter fee, only under a slightly wrong plate. She got a ticket for not paying a meter but did pay a meter. They denied her appeal, and I tried reading the city code and it doesn't say how they determine this. Appears it's professional judgement based on facts. She submitted proof of everything, but I'll certainly agree if we are going by the book, she's got no case. It's so trivial that if this were me I'd request a hearing and request the officer show up per my rights just as a big fuck you out of principle. You wanna charge me $30, well here's hundreds of dollars in wages and time you gotta spend to have this hearing. (I know taxpayer dollars yadada)
A fantastic example: my buddy got pulled off his bike at a red light by a cop and put face down at gunpoint....in broad daylight. He was zoomin' on the highway but the cop had no proof. He took him to court and got the reckless op down to a speeding ticket.... Fast forward 4 years: he's doing a rotation as a med student in the ED and guess who ends up there cuz he cut himself like a dipshit with a pocket knife? This cop lol. And he got to stitch him up and he said this cop looked so uncomfortable cuz he knew who he was right away.... I should probably add that now he just runs. Not condoning it but still wild turn of events.
Tdlr: we got so many better things to worry about cities still continue to place emphasis on stupid infractions. What's your story?
