Greg_KThey now have a hole cut out on the heel release lever that allows you to see the DIN adjustment window if the heel is open or closed and that hole cuts down weight about 25gr a side. The other difference is they must have a notch type screw on the AFD adjustment so that it will never be able to loosen. Never ran into that issue myself but this should eliminate any potential issues.
The Attack 17 has the same mods so it’s actually a big lighter than the old Attack 16 and the Attack 18 is gone.
So no major chances so if you can get deals on old stock, go for it. I just got some Attack 16s with the beefier metal heel for a huge deal at Corbetts. They have lots of stock of 13s too.
CatdickBojanglesNice thanks for the info. Might end up just picking up the new 14s because they come in the color I want.
Greg_KWas pondering a set of baby blue 14s or 17s myself but got such a great deal on the 16s, I went for them. Next Spring I’ll be buying the new ones on deals though!
dolanslebensraumI noticed from pictures tho that there seemed to be minor changes to the front wall the boot presses against. Idk if it is designed to cup/surround the toe of the boot more, kind of like the original attacks, to prevent prerelease or something. I will have to check them out in a store this winter.
CatdickBojanglesI just got a pair of red 14s if you want pics I can clip my boot in.
