lil.Boyewould have been super cool to draw on them and make your own graphic.
skis seem solid though. feel like you can't go wrong
BradFiAusNzCoCaYeah that would be. Same with 1000. When I see either, moreso 1000 than season, I think it would be cool to use decals to make your design. And then you can essentially change the design when you feel like.
What factory is season out of btw? Does anyone know?

SkibumsmithI dunno man the market is pretty saturated with boutique ski brands. I'm sure I'm going to get a ton of hate for this but I'm doubtful for the longevity of this brand.
BrandoComandoThat could be true, but I'd argue Pollard and his team have the lasting power to keep Season alive. He's been designing innovative skis for 20 years and has deep industry connections. Not to mention Austin Smith on the snowboard side. He was as influential to Nitro as Pollard was to Line. They've shaped their respective industries. Season's brand is well-defined and their business operations seem pretty legit so far.
Season is already intertwined with bigger retailers like Evo. It's rare to see a new brand establish itself this quickly. The industry is also shifting towards an environmentally-conscious ethos, which Season was founded on. Of the boutique brands, I think Season has some of the most promising lasting power. In a few years, I predict their sales to be on par with larger indies like 4FRNT or J.
Furthermore, by outsourcing manufacturing, there's a higher ceiling for growth. US-made skis are dope, but the small brands have a hard time competing since sourcing is so difficult. Hell - even ON3P and Moment need to work together to buy materials like titanal, and they're the biggest manufacturers in North America. By outsourcing, Season can focus on design, marketing, sales, and growth. And their product will still be high quality since it's out of Austria. They don't need to invest as many resources into manufacturing operations.
They're new, they're cool, and they're high quality. Personally, I think it's a mistake not to feature Pollard's graphics (It's a proven fact that topsheet designs are the #1 factor in selling skis), but otherwise this company has the ingredients for success. I wouldn't say the same about many other boutique brands

GrandThingsI fully agree with this. I literally thought WNDR Alpine (Pep Fujas' company) and Season EQPT (Pollard & Smith's) were the same company until I saw this thread...
BrightFrogOP u must live under a rock. Season EQPT is not core. The court has decided.

whitenabI'm pretty hyped on the Season stuff. I have the Forma and my gf upgraded skis this year and she actually has the Nexus & Forma.
Couple thoughts...
+ Forma is not like the pescado or sakana. It's way heavier and likes to go really fast but is still really loose in soft snow. It feels very cool and very fun.
+ I'm psyched on the evo connection. I really like demoing so having Season stuff at Evo was huge. Plus I demo'd for 3 days over a long weekend and then they took that price out of the ski price so I ended up getting free demos (Also I found a blem pair in store so I got some extra $ with that). GF also demo'd and that gave confidence to a pretty expensive purchase.
+ Also at evo you get a yearly tune which we took advantage of so that's dope. Gotta have flat bases to ski fast.
~ Pollard top sheets are dope but honestly all black skis are timeless and the metal trim on the tails looks fire imo.
- My main issue is that I struggle with believing the "buy less skis" mentality is honest advertising at a Pollard centered company. Pollard has brought some of the most popular and revolutionary shapes to skis over the last 20 years so when he comes out with a new shape how are we not supposed to want to get on it? They are focused on "no new top sheets" and equipment tuning and at the same time are releasing the Kin and an upcoming 5th ski shape. I'm hyped to try them out for sure but where does the category expansion or shape improvement end?
If every 3 years they come out with an upgraded bacon is that really any different of a consumption model than someone who gets a new top sheet every other year? Not really imo.
