Anybody on zyprexa or seroquel or any atypicals?

I first tried seroquel and that really knocked me out. It wasnt bad but it sorta messed with my iop and gave me headaches. I tried out zyprexa after and it seems like a very good drug at calming you down and chilling you out. But it doesnt make you a slave to it like xanax or clonopin or ativan will. Fuck benzos. Stupidest drug ever. Anyways zyprexa is good at relaxing your brain activity. Keeps you from perseverating too much on things—(imagining how many fucking ski base threads i wouldve made if didnt have zyprexa).
Only neg side effect is it makes you hungry. But if your weight and health are ok then its a pretty good drug in my opinion. Zyprexa, seroquel, risperdone, latuda, are all in a drug class called atypical antipsychotics. It doesnt mean you have to be psychotic to take them. Haha.

Any of you guys take any mental health type drugs?

If you have panic attacks and shit and need to be on benzos then thats fine. But just be informed that the vacuous high is nowhere near good enough to justify how horrible its cravings and withdrawals are. For me it was like
“Jesus christ this xanax garbage doesnt give you anything close to an opioid high, yet its cravings and withdrawal are 3 times as bad as with opioids.”




But anyways be smart and be safe.

I was prescribed Seroquel for sleep to help curb night terrors and that shit works but you feel like absolute dog shit for the first 2 hours after waking up. Didn't know that they prescribed it for anxiety during the day though.

Take Wellbutrin for ADHD. That shit will fuck you up when you first start taking it. I had Insomnia, and stomach aches for like the first week then after that it causes loss of inhibition and extreme impulsivity. Took me about a months and a half to even out after I started taking it.

Yeah, I'm on Seroquel, though I take ½ of a 25 mg and it does the trick for me. I'm Bipolar II and so far this seems to be the best sleeping aid for hypomania (and sleep in general) than others I've tried. They had me on Traznadone for a bit, which is also an atypical sleeping aid and that left me feeling like a train hit me when I woke up.
But yeah, the antipsychotics work better than the SARI off-use ones I've tried. Benzos are a beast and frankly, I don't need sleeping aids enough to even justify talking about them with my psych.

Neither actually, Wellbutrin is actually pretty effective at treating ADHD ( for me) and the pharmacology is pretty similar between that and stimulants. A lot of doctors like to go the non stimulant route before prescribing things like adderal as the complications ocean by a lot more severe; addiction, pulmonary hypertension, etc. Honestly I’m grateful for it. I’d rather not be taking an amphetamine if I can avoid it.

Prescription. I assume you could find these on one of the silk road clone sites but its probably cheaper and easier to just se a doctor once every few months. Most non habit forming drugs are pretty easy to get from a doctor unless there are serious side effects or it doesnt make sense for you to take them.

Is wellbutrin supposed to cause insomnia? I thought it was supposed to cause drowsyness.

Trazadone actually has weak opioid activity and its weakness (along with the fact it is generally not considered an opioid) is why it is somewhat commonly prescribed by psychiatrists. Psychiatrists, as doctors, can prescribe whatever the fuck they want to their patients, but you still wont find too many psychiatrists prescribing normal opioids like vicoden etc... Its part of the idiotic american psychiatric paradigm that mental pain is not the same as physical pain which to me is absolute bullshit. Ive had friends kill themselves because they were in opioid withdrawal. You want to tell me their pain “wasnt real”? That their pain was “fake”?

But yeah i have a few friends who are on seroquel and love it. If you like the feeling of being really tired and getting to go to sleep when you want to drugs like sero and zyprexa are pretty sweet.

Adderall and ritalin and focalin and vyvance are all really good drugs, but if you are going to give ghem to a kid you gotta be prepared to give them to them for life. I was on ritalin as a kid and apart from becoming skinny i was doing fine on it. But bc i had lost weight they took me off of it and my mind sort of went crazy.

you cant just give a person something to rely on and then take it away.


people today are really stupid when it comes to the morbid fear of anything that is even close to being addictive.

caffeine is addictive! Did you know that?

do you know why ppl dont go to rehab for caffeine addiction?

BECAUSE STARBUCKS EXISTS.

and if you dont think that 7-11 selling opium cigarettes for 5 bucks a pack would make people no longer need to go to rehab for opium addiction you are incredibly closed minded and stupid.

the drug war is the problem. Not the drugs.

Interesting. But yeah i agree the addictive aspect is definitely worth considering on adhd drugs, but imo with the backlash against the opioid crisis, i think everybody is going a bit crazy when it comes to anything that has a risk of dependence.

its just silly. Its like “omg you are a professional tennis player who depends on 5000 calories a day of food to fuel your 8 hrs of tennis you play per day. We need to immediately have you start laying on a couch for 20 hrs a day in order to minimize your DEPENDENCE on food. Addiction is very serious, NOW GET ON THE FUCKING COUCH.”

That is pretty much where we are at with the state of addiction-phobia in america.

i wasnt like criticizing your post tho. Its just when it comes to the way america jumps out of the frying pan and into the fire time and time again its hard to not be somewhat irate at the lunacy of minimizing low-iq-apparent risk at the expense of high-iq-apparent costs.
