How the fuck do you hipslide/bodyslide

I want to know how to do the epic hipslide and every time I try my skis just go sicko mode and I don’t really know how to properly mount onto a box/feature to begin the hipslide. Anyone got any tips

I cant do it myself but I’d say to keep yourself from going “sicko mode” crouch first into a squat and use your back hand to sort of let urself down softly. Rather than just going straight from standing

Perhaps an unpopular opinion but hip pads are dope. Mainly just for eating shit not hip slides, but of course will help hip slides

I dont remember what movie/edit it was in but i remember some people hip sliding a roof using pizza boxes stuffed in their pants for pads

Land softly. Helps if you come in low. Put your phone in your knee pocket for extra motivation. Because if you fuck it up your both your hip and bank account will be hurtin.

lean back and put a hand down to brace yourself when you are just starting out and try it on a box. eventually, you'll just get comfortable kinda landing on your hip but you still need ur hand to brace a bit. its a good trick to learn before trying hand drags. be careful not to dislocate your shoulder.

This. Arm/hand support will ease the impact. Body slides on certain stuff look fuckin sick.

Take off the lip a little in the back seat land on your feet and let your body continue to go backwards with the momentum from taking off in the back seat. Slide your feet out forward and ease down with your back arm so you don't slam your hip into the rail. Ride it out and stand up at the end of the rail like you are getting off a slide.
