DeebieSkeebiesHe skis with a lot of kids on a program that I spent time coaching with. I got a coach-to-coach question: How do you get into the mind of kids like this and keep em focused and in control or is it just all him and a little bit of coaching as well
I think what helped me getting a connection with Walker there was that I was able to do all the tricks he wanted to learn so he ended up learning them with his observations, my insights and his will to learn these.
He seems to be super fit mentally, visualizing and all that. So it was fairly straight forward and natural to push him into the direction he wanted to go. Very natural experience and progress.
but usually it’s 50-75% coach... in this case it was 50/50 at Max, actually tending towards me doing less and him doing more because as mentioned he has his game already in his head so he just needs gentle experienced guidings to make this shit reality. Hyped to see what’s he going to show us in the next few years.
