Fall is officially here and with my wife constantly dragging home new fall decorations from Hobby Lobby and TJ Max, I have secretly been adding to my ski gear closet and started my count down. 9 weeks (hopefully) until I am back on snow. Where is your countdown at?

My previous resort in Finland had canned snow like Ruka early season last year. Wasn’t as bad skiing as I expected

Living in california is less than ideal for gettin an early start to the season. last year it didn't even start raining till november, and the snow took like a month after that to really arrive.

Big snow is lit. But definitely not worth 5 hours both ways. I can’t even imagine taking that long haul for one miniature park run… but then again skiers do be dedicated asf

The pain of a rainy Oregon fall waiting for snow doesn't make it go faster. And we don't make snow. So it opens when it opens. I have seen it go from nothing to pow day in under 48 hours.
