Quiver additions to k2 reckoner 102s

I was on the 184 reckoner 102s mounted at -2 on the team line last season, they were super fire for everything especially when we got some fresh parmesan on the mountain. The only thing I noticed was that they would get a bit squirrely and flappy when I pushed them really fast on the ice coast. Im wondering if a stiffer narrower ski would have any major benefit for those hard pack days when I just want to rip, something like a poacher or soul rider. I thought the recks did surprisingly well on the hard stuff in general which is why im not sure if another ski would even be worth it.

If your looking for a two ski quiv, I think another twin tip might overlap too much and you’ll find yourself skiing one or the other all the time. Personally, I complemented a Line Blend with a Sick Day 104 for a touring/woods/more directional ski.

Personally, I’ve since bought a Line Blade and it’s funnnn. I’d recommend branching out from the twin tip but still having some tail rocker, as it’s similar to what your used to.

If you want to stay in the K2 range I would recommend the any of the Mindbender Ti models. They're much more directional than the Reckoner series but they are great at high speeds and for mashing through all sorts of snow conditions. The 99Ti is my favorite of the Ti series and my ski of choice for early mornings when its hardpack out.

Yeah I hear ya, those look real nice but I like to ski switch at hop into the park at least a little every ski day

I doubt it’s worth it tbh unless you have a decent amount of cash. You’ll prolly just mostly wish you were on the 102 for max fun. Maybe worth seeing if you could snag the now discontinued dynastar menace 98 on sale. Holds up really well to skiing pretty hard. I got mine for like $300 all in. At this point bike shit is so expensive and necessary ide rather spend on that than a new pair of skis…

Depends on what you like.

Could get some stuff park skis like volkl revolts that are narrower.
