Ski boots. Mounting and recommendations.

Probably a dumb question but should I wait to mount my new skis until I buy new boots? I’ve had a pair of Solomon spks since 2013 and safe to say they are ready to go. I’m 25 “type iii/expert” skier currently using a size 26 (wear a 11-12 shoe depending on brand) probably gonna go to Evo to get a full boot fitting, but do you think there gonna have me size up or down? Or is it safe to safe I’ll wear a size 26 after so many years?

Another question would be boot recommendations there are so many it’s hard to narrow down. I have long skinnier feet. Shred all over the mountain occasional park laps but not nearly as hard as I used to. Just having trouble narrowing brands down.

SPK was 100 flex would 120 really be much of a difference? How should it feel different when riding?

Isn't the SPK an absolute bucket? if you are getting fitted for a new boot, and you're being honest about your fit I would absolutely wait until you get new boots for doing your mounts. Some boots of the same size can have a completely different BSL.

Yeah unless you want to mount your bindings twice wait until you get your boots. Each boot's lengths are different. Even if you are relying on one specific boot and size that can be risky too. If you get your heart set on a certain pair but they don't fit you and you still buy them you are going to be in pain on the hill. Mounting the bindings twice costs money, and the extra holes will make it harder to remount in the future if you ever want to change the bindings position.
