Does this adapter work for listening to music while skiing or do u just use bluetooth? Kinda don’t wanna lose my bt earbuds in the snow so wondering if you guys have experience in this
i'm a 21st century piece of shit so i can't stand having a cord anymore and my earbuds fit really well and won't fall out but yeah those work fine if you'd like
I used that for a little bit once. Went through 3 of them in a month of skiing. They just can't handle the awkward positioning inside a pocket during such a dynamic activity as skiing. And the cold probably doesn't help, making the copper more brittle so those little wires inside tend to tear. I use wireless earbuds now, and especially when wearing a headsock and goggles they never have a problem. On days where I want to only wear a helmet with nothing under, it's a little harder but idk better than that little piece of shit adapter breaking.
I still don't understand why apple removed the aux because now you cant listen to music and charge you phone at the same time with out buying one of those splitters and they also don't come with chargers anymore
Honestly just use bluetooth. But probably not AirPods unless they’re under your toque, the resort i work at we have like 2 single AirPods a day come to the bottom of the lift that someone found, and those are just the ones that people decided to give back.
I use like workout earbuds with the ring around the ear and the cable around the back of the neck, and they never fall out.

Yeah using airpods sounds like baaad idea, I guess if u never fall they’re fine
only use wireless if you have them covered by like a beanie + goggles to keep them in place.
I lost my pod at the end of last season the first day I used them with sunglasses + no beanie
I did but my phone started tweaking whenever it would wiggle around, like siri would activate/music would fast forward or skip and other annoying shit, I’m upgrading to bluetooth soon
refurbished ipod shuffles are what, like $50? I don't listen to music when skiing but when I did the shuffle was tight. Cheap shitty headphones, youtube mixes downloaded and uploaded to my shuffle for like 45 hours of music. And better yet, you won't break ur phone when u slam.
Expensive Bluetooth earbuds ain’t worth losing so get some cheap ones.
I like to just use my lighting cord headphones to save on battery, plus the pause and skip buttons are easier to press than trying to tap your blue tooth headphone with a mit on.

Used them for bit but like stated above, kept breaking them. I do use some inexpensive BT workout ear buds with the ear cuff to hold them in occasionally but I resorted back to the stone age and currently use my shuffle with wired buds. Lowers my chance of pulling my phone out of my pocket and losing it.
Also there's lots of wireless earbuds out there that are higher quality than Apple's overpriced airpods while cheaper and not white (easier to see if it falls out)

This is definitely the move. Pretty sure guys like ferdi do this as well. I’ve been using the little shuffles for biking and definitely gonna use it this season

the new wireless icons are my go to, just slide them under my goggles if I'm hitting jumps or put them around my neck, haven't lost them yet
