Teaching Skis

I’m teaching this coming season and need something more all mountain capable than my other skis. Was originally looking at race skis but am open to more all mountain skis under 95/90mm.

More info about ur skiing style would help, even tho ur most likely gonna be skiing slow. Ik some kids who coach on full on race skis, to sakanas or Vs

What type of instructing are you doing? I think a short-mid radius, strong twin tip does well as an all around. Can ski switch when teaching wedge, etc. but can still lay down some carves and short radi skids.

Id probably look into an Armada ARV 96 or Liberty helix 98 or something of the sort. Maybe something with a shorter radius. Chronic would be a good option but I can’t speak to how well they will hold up to kids messing up your skis on the reg… I’ve had success with Liberty and armada being bulletproof around all sorts (including kids and adults just doing their best to destroy my skis)



Icelantic nomad 95 might be a good option

Sun Peaks, will be the kiddies to start with, three days a week.
Line Blade seems a good choice

strangers dude, armada strangers is the way. nice in pow, turns well, can take a couple park laps when off and they seem fun overall

Agree with all of the above as a shorter radius, twin tip would be ideal! The Blade is an amazing ski!!! So fun and can lay down solid carving turns! Basically you want a ski you can control and that can demo solid technique… I taught for 4 years with Liberty Transfer (old helix) and bought Line TWP to replace for this year! Twin tips are a must because you might spend some good amount of time switch!!!

Pro tip: invest in custom foot beds for your boots budd, you’ll thank me 40 days in! Have fun teaching!!!

Thanks for all the replies people, really helps.
The company I go with describe anything over 90mm waist as a powder ski, so I think anything I get will be questioned lol.
The blades seem good but 95mm waist makes me wonder if it’s a bit excessive as i will barely ever venture of the piste when teaching.
Also looking such as the vantage line from atomic. anyone have experience?
