Reckoner 112s... by mistake

Well I accidently purchased a pair of reckoner 112s thinking they were 102s on locals sale. They don't list much in terms of details and did not mention the mms underfoot. I did not realize they have just about the same graphic until after. I live on the east coast primarily skiing in NY and VT. I do manage to get out to CO or Utah once or twice a season. I ski 90% park, are these worth keeping or should I just bite the bullet and buy a set of 102s. Anyone who has skied them, are they half way decent on groomers and packed powder or just too wide? If by chance someone has 102s they want to trade for 112s I am your guy. (yes i understand total dumbass move i pulled here)

i mean they'll work, and i know people who use fatties like that as a daily ski on the EC but they're not ideal for the hardpack conditions that realistically we usually have. if it's affordable for you i'd say sell the 112s and buy skinnier but if you're strapped for money, they will work if you really need them to

There is a legendary old couple that skis catamarans at cannon mtn in NH, regardless of conditions

OP, 112 isn’t super ideal but I actually like the 112s more because they’re more solid. I had a 102 and they’re so soft that any hard conditions I found they just folded up if I tried to push them, where the 112 actually has some backbone. If you ski 90% park tho I’d look into the 102 or even the 92, 112 is a lot to spin around on rails and stuff

Jokes aside they will ride fine and everyone will probably think you're some rocky mountain monster

there is an instagram account @snow.share I think its run by the Arsenic Anywhere guy if the skis are brand new you could post them on your instagram story for how much you want for them tag him and he will put it on his story and hopefully someone DMs you with an offer

Yeah I know all about snowshare, bought and sold plenty of skis on there in the past. That's my backup plan haha

I ski the 112 is the park but most of the people that I know ski the 102. Swap em out if you're not looking for a wide park ski.

I’d consider 102 a wide park ski (at least it used to be) hahaha but the Reck does pretty well everywhere honestly

I agree. I need to remember that I am in the minority on people who ski the 112 in the park. The 102 is very much a wide park ski but also great for everything.

To the OP - if you're skiing 90% park you may be disappointed with the 112. I enjoy it but it's a lot of ski. The 102 may be the move if you can swap em out. If not, you've got a few months to get into the gym and get your "leg day" up.

Which reminds me...I need to go for a run and do some squats.

I got both. 102 is way more playful. You'd be much happier skiing park on that size. If a swap was easy, do it, but if not, the 112s will work.
