Any cons of using a hiking bag skiing?

Like is there anything besides the goggle pocket that matters when rocking a specific backpack. I’ve got a dakine syncline that is super low profile

Its nice to have some compression straps built in so you can collapse the main bag down to something compact so its not swinging around behind you and getting caught on chairs.

Backcountry skiing? Yes, there are lots of downsides.

Inbounds skiing? The only downside will be that it's not as cool as a fanny pack.

They’re usually not as durable or wateproof. I have a Millet Big Powder Pro that’s super old but I refuse to use anything else because it’s durable as shit, and I can put it down in the snow to access the inside and not worry about the bottom or inside getting wet. Plus it has a rain cover which is dope if I get caught in the rain or heavy snow
