isaacwrongSelling my k2's after realizing gotta downsize. Just measured up the shell of my 25/25.5 boots though and they are a good 6-7cm longer than the stated BSL on the actual boot. Suppose to measure up at 294 and they actual tru up around 300mm-301mm. Is this pretty common for boots to not be true?
tomPietrowski
I just measured mine to check and mine come out to exactly 304mm (size 26.5)
my guess is you are bending the tape around the gripwalk sole rather than doing a straight pull measurement.
UncleDustyHow are the flex on those? Does the 120 feel like a true 120 or softer? Been looking at a pair but don’t really want a real 120 more like 100.
tomPietrowskiYou know we offer a 100 flex if you want a boot at about 100.

UncleDustyI get that, I’ve just seen reviews that even though they are 120 or 100, the boots feel much softer than that compared to a regular alpine boot. So wasn’t sure if the 120 would feel more like a 100-110. If that makes sense
tomPietrowskiYeah makes sense. I certainly would not say the 120 feels like a 100, whatever a 100 is meant to feel like haha.
A big factor people forget with flex is the liner has a big impact too. The 120 uses the PrecisionFit Pro Tour and the 100 uses the LuxFit Pro Tour. the lux fit is going to be a softer more forgiving liner so if you want a softer overall fit and flex the 100 will probably be the best option. If you are used to the fit and feel of 100-110 boots the stiffer more performance liner in the 120 may throw you off a bit.
I personally would not say they feel much softer than most boots on the market. We benchmark test them back to back against a lot of boots in the market and try to aim to make the flex consistent to what is out there. So the 120 is going to be close to where most 120 freeride boots are. I also tend to think there is better consistency at the lower end of the flex scale. I would say most 100 flex boots feel much more consistent than the variations in flex of say 130 boots.
