Has anyone tried to do Sawtooth backcountry touring as late as March? I know a few years ago it was super ass but I’ve also seen the fake powder shots in April. Wondering if it’s worth taking a week off in mid-March and what to expect. I was in Oregon for the spring last year so I’m not super picky (don’t need the deep stuff).
