Replying to Gambling Addictions

I had never met a person with a gambling addiction until I met a friend of mine, he’s 28 and will take out loan after loan and gamble every last cent he has on lightning roulette on some online gambling website. My question: how can anyone be this stupid? How can someone fuck themselves on a game known to have shit odds OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN??? I’ll walk into a casino in Vegas and maybe gamble 100 bucks knowing it’s all gonna be gone, it’s just about how long I can keep the fire alive. I stop at 100, it’s basically a Disney ticket. But I’ve watched this guy gamble away 5K of loaned money in a month while facing destitution and having a credit score of 400. WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE DO THIS???
