Can you skate an aluminum rail?

Right now I'm thinking about making a ledge to skate in my driveway that would be quick, cheap and portable. I'm thinking I could used 20ish cinder blocks that are liquid nailed together, with a piece of angle iron on top. I know with skiing that aluminum rails are known for being super sticky and basically only hittable with edgeless skis. Y'all know if it would be the same for skate trucks? I can get a 8ft piece of angle iron for like 10 bucks, so it seems like would be the cheapest option. Anyone have any experience with this?

aluminum doesnt grind whatsoever, its chill for any ledge trick that doesnt involve grinding tho

Aluminum is really soft and malleable compared to other metals. I think your trucks would leave lots of dents over time.

Not speaking from experience, just making an assumption.

the steel trucks are going to eat it up. Skating aluminum sucks it might be passable if you can paint it or something but just use something else

Twenty cinderblocks glued together definitely won’t be portable. If you want it to be portable, just use 2x4’s, plywood, and angle steel.

I don't mean portable in the sense that i'm trying to load it into my car and take it places, more that i can move it a few feet to get it out of the way of my driveway. I just meant that I don't want to cement it down like how people usually do with cinder block boxes

20 cinderblocks would be around 700 pounds

Actual answer though, 2 4x4s, 2 4x8s, 1 sheet of plywood, 2 cinderblocks and 1 pvc pipe of your choice diameter is all you need to make an entirely functional ledge

do I need to cut the pvc in half? or should I just screw it straight on
