ReturnToMonkeyGolf > tennis as far as rich white ppl sports go
little1337got a 5:00 tee time today 😎
VTshredder69I was there for day one. Some epic matches on courts 5 6 7. I caught the beginning of the TsiTsipas V murray matchup on Ashe. I was really rooting for Murray who looked good in the beginning of that one.
Unless Djokovic gets hurt he's winning the Calendar Grand Slam and taking the record.
First four days is just constant action on every court

hunterS.dolansonGolf is cool but compared to tennis it is hardly a sport. Like yeah golf is a sport, but so is pool. You dont really consider a pool player as a professional athlete. Maybe they are, but pool and golf are more of a test of coordination and proprioception than raw athleticism.
ReturnToMonkeyDid you really just compare golf to pool? I'd say it's much more like tennis than pool. Walking at least 18 holes a day in the heat, swinging clubs at head speed in excess of 130 mph and using your entire body to swing is way more athletic than walking around a little table for even several hours and hitting a queue even at maximum power (which you nearly never do). I'd say golf is much more like tennis than pool.
I will give you credit that golf and pool are both great to drink during
hunterS.dolansonNice. I think tsitsipas is the most overrated player on the whole tour, he isnt that strong, he isnt that athletic, and hes not that fast. He has a decent one handed backhand but its not as good as wawrinkas or gasquets or feds.
medvedev is like better than tsitsipas in every way

fredyferlIs there restrictions or a maximum of people allowed on the site?
Would love to go to the US Open one day, my parents have been and it looks sick. Ashe stadium looks very big.
VTshredder69They just require proof of vaccination. I don't believe they are limiting fans. Tickets get expensive in later rounds.
The problem I'm hearing right now is that subways are down today from hurricane Ida.... so if you're planning on coming in the next few days it might be tricky.
I say if you're vaccinated and in the area it's a must see!
VTshredder69I mean he was up 2-0 to Djoker in a final this year. He’s def a strong player. His backhand is actually tremendous and he doesn’t get tired like a lot of others. So I disagree with you entirely about his skill.
I would say his bathroom breaks of 8 minutes after losing a set are extremely unethical and I’m not a fan of him as a person. A lot of the crowd is booing him. He’s a douche.
Djokovic will win IMO. But I like Diego Shwarzmann a lot. I like Medved quite a bit and I’d like to see him win. He’s good against djoker in 3 setters but 5 sets is a different story.
