Wets Vs Wides

I rode a pair of chronics last year {96} and feel like the wet is going to feel to skinny. Should I get the wides? i have a pair of reckoner 102s for all mountain, im conflicted

What are you using it for? Park? 88 will not be too skinny for park. I was daily driving some 89 underfoot Liberty’s with “bomb rocker” (aka early rise combined with some generous tip and tail rocker with minimal camber) and most days it was fine in Australia, which is known for heavy, crap snow.

It will be way more surfy and loose. The chronic camber kinda locks you in but I think you’ll like the flow and slide of wets once you get used to them.

And you will adapt to a softer ski. Those Libertys I talked about taught me to land better. I realized, on my last skis, I was depending on the camber behind the tail too much.

I forgot to mention those Liberty’s and wets share a lot of similarities. I had a coworker with wets and we would compare and I even looked at specs for both

Well the wets are wet but the wides are W I D E
