I understand why they would be priced like that. All handmade, fully waterproof nylon ribstop. It takes a mad amount of time to trace, cut, sew then sew some more and then market it and shit. But I don’t think I’d pay for them personally. Also what’s up with a bunch of the legs looking shorter or longer than the other

you buy $300 1/1s and you'll be sure every penny is going to the guy who sourced the fabric, made the patterns, cut, sewed, sealed, etc. start to finish. someone who is working hard to bring their own creativity and passion to our community. and that shit takes a lot of time, skill, and patience - hours of labor that comes from years of experience for one pair of pants.

or you can go buy $150 pants from north face, spyder, whatever corporate outerwear company, and you can expect fewer than a couple cents to work its way back into our community, you're just giving them loose change to pay execs, market to an audience outside of our slice of the ski world, develop products that none of us will ever want to use.

I like the idea of skier owned brands. Sure their products are a lot more expensive but when you buy something from them it's going to somebody who appreciates and loves the same sport you do. These small brands are perpetuating freeskiing. (With that being said, there are still skier owned brands that don't give a shit about the culture, just do your research before purchasing)

I love wearing all goretex when it's snowing all day. Keeps me completely dry skiing for 8 hours. I've also skied quite a few days in the rain and have been fine. As for the price, I got all my goretex on clearance for 70-80% off. No way i'm paying $800 for pants or a jacket that will inevitably get ripped up.
