Going on 18 months of covid is getting old really quick. Fucking have winter volumes in the summer right now- covid on top of everything else. Shortage of staff in all areas so workload is above average and just going balls to the wall the entire shift, every shift. I'm probably the most laid back person in my department and I'll agree burnout is real. I'm burned out and I usually live for this shit. I love chaos but this is just incessantly irritating.
Look at this graph. Feel like game of thrones cuz winter is coming and gonna be wild. Look at last year to now. Winter is fucked if we don't change fast.
So how is your hospital doing?
To any of you fuckers who want to turn this into a political thread, don't. It's not. I work with facts. Evidence based. Keep your misinformation out of here. I don't care if you're rich or poor or Republican or Democrat or Independent or your race. Nothing. Just trying to do my job and pissed that selfish attitudes of people are making it unnecessarily overwhelmingly difficult. Then those people who are essentially prolonging this pandemic are the ones being admitted and continuing this chaos. Just grow up and be glad EMTALA is a law. My sympathy meter is empty.
